A Brady Campaign 'Gun Owner Data Base'?

It's been noted that the individual involved in suing various online retailers over the Colorado movie theatre shooting and who now owes $220K is a Brady employee (6 months after the event). Something interesting was noted on his Linkedin Profile:

Led the department in adding names of gun owners to data base?  What?  So what exactly is this Brady 'Data Base' that they're adding names to?  Why are they creating it? What is its purpose?

Inquiring minds want to know.

You may disagree, but let the police handle the problem, it is a problem with the breaking of the law

National Guard trains for civil unrest, rioting

National Guard troops arrived in Baltimore shortly after midnight Monday to help local police forces with the chaos.

Rioting, looting and widespread damage flooded the streets following the funeral of a 25-year-old man who died while in police custody.

Many of the Guardsmen are trained for a situation just like the one in Maryland.
It's called "civil unrest training," and it was recently completed in Tennessee with a local police department.
Troops have also trained in Maryland and Colorado.
"It really helped put it into perspective the person we are going to be up against - the rioter, the unruly person," said one National Guard official.
The training includes gas mask training and practice with shields and batons.
"If we have to use it in the outside world... we are ready for any task possible," said another National Guard official.
Troops plan to remain in Baltimore to help until order in the city returns, or until Maryland is no longer under a "state of emergency."

I believe in civil disobedience, but do it over the right thing, don't go off half cocked

FREDDIE GRAY ALLEGEDLY HAD SPINE SURGERY JUST ONE WEEK BEFORE ARREST

CONFIRMED: Court records show Freddie Gray was receiving a structured settlement from Allstate Insurance and attempted to convert it into one lump sum in early March
Freddie Gray’s life-ending injuries to his spine may have possibly been the result of spinal and neck surgery that he allegedly received a week before he was arrested, not from rough excessively rough treatment or abuse from police.

The Fourth Estate has contacted sources who allege that Freddie Gray received spinal and neck surgery a week before we was arrested, and was allegedly receiving a large structured settlement from Allstate Insurance.  The surgery is allegedly related to a car accident in which Gray was involved.
Sources allege that Gray also attempted to refinance his structured settlement into one lump sum payment through Peachtree Funding.
If this is true, then it is possible that Gray’s spinal injury resulting from his encounter with the Baltimore Police was not the result of rough-handling or abuse, but rather a freak accident that occurred when Gray should have been at home resting, not selling drugs.
The structured settlement from Allstate and Gray’s attempt to convert it into one lump sum payment has been confirmed by Howard County Circuit Court Records

“Freddie Gray had a pre-existing spinal and neck injury [from a car accident] and had severe damage and scar tissue from an accident that Allstate insurance was paying via a large structured settlement.
Freddie had several unsuccessful spinal fusion surgeries, and his most recent spinal/cervical operation was a week and a half before he was arrested.  Freddie should have been at home in bed resting and recovering from this recent major operation.
If you look on Howard County Civil Court records you will find a case whereby Freddie Gray Jr. was trying to cash in his monthly structured Allstate settlement into a lump sum payout through Peachtree funding”.
