SCIENTISTS PROVE THAT EVOLUTION IS BUNK (Friday Church News Notes, April 15, 2016, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - A team of computer scientists and electrical engineers representing the University of Washington and Microsoft have unwittingly proved that evolution is nonsense by their new system to encode, store, and retrieve data using DNA molecules. The molecules are so efficient that they “can store information many millions of times more densely than existing technologies for digital storage--flash drives, hard drives, magnetic and optical media” (“UW team stores digital images in DNA,” UW Today, Apr. 7, 2016). Yet they would have us believe that while data storage systems such as flash drives are products of high intelligence, the DNA molecule and the living cell, though vastly superior as “technology”--and living, to boot!--is the product of blind chance. Luis Ceze, UW professor of computer science and engineering who is working on the project, says, “Life has produced this fantastic molecule called DNA that efficiently stores all kinds of information about your genes and how a living system works.” The fantastic molecule was produced by “life.” It just happened. The fine-tuned, organized universe exploded out of nothing; life leaped out of non-life; intelligence arose from non-intelligence. And they have the gall to say that it is the Creationist who exercises “blind faith”!

I guess this only surprises the people that believe in evolution. Man is not getting better and better, but is degrading and getting worse, physically, morally and intelligence wise. It should not surprise any scientist, because evolution is not scientific, it denies the laws of thermodynamics.
Leading Geneticist: Human Intelligence is Slowly Declining
Would you be surprised to hear that the human race is slowly becoming dumber, and dumber? Despite our advancements over the last tens or even hundreds of years, some ‘experts’ believe that humans are losing cognitive capabilities and becoming more emotionally unstable. One Stanford University researcher and geneticist, Dr. Gerald Crabtree, believes that our intellectual decline as a race has much to do with adverse genetic mutations. But there is more to it than that.
According to Crabtree, our cognitive and emotional capabilities are fueled and determined by the combined effort of thousands of genes. If a mutation occurred in any of of these genes, which is quite likely, then intelligence or emotional stability can be negatively impacted.
Further, the geneticist explains that people with specific adverse genetic mutations are more likely than ever to survive and live amongst the ‘strong.’ Darwin’s theory of ‘survival of the fittest’ is less applicable in today’s society, therefore those with better genes will not necessarily dominate in society as they would have in the past.
Support: 16 Foods that Store for 15 Years
While this hypothesis does have some merit: are genes really the primary reason for the overall cognitive decline of the human race? If humans really are lacking in intelligence more than before, it’s important to recognize other possible causes. Let’s take a look at how our food system plays a role in all of this.
It’s sad, but true; our food system today is contributing to lower intelligence across the board.
Lead researcher Virginia Rauh, a professor at the Mailman School of Public Health, summarized the findings:
Interestingly, one particular ingredient ubiquitous in processed foods and sugary beverages across the globe -high fructose corn syrup – has been tied to reduced IQ. The UCLA researchers coming to these findings found that HFCS may be damaging the brain functions of consumers worldwide, sabotaging learning and memory. In fact, the official release goes as far to say that high-fructose corn syrup can make you ‘stupid’.
Gene mutations may have something to do with our ongoing decline in intelligence, but let’s stop to think for a moment what we’re doing to ourselves to make this decline even more prominent.

Furthermore, I would guess that he or she would be among the most emotionally stable of our friends and colleagues,” the geneticist began his article in the scientific journal Trends in Genetics.

The Water Supply, Fluoride is Lowering Your IQ
Researchers from Harvard have found that a substance rampant in the nation’s water supply, fluoride, is lowering IQ and dumbing down the population. The researchers, who had their findings published in the prominent journal Environmental Health Perspectives, a federal government medical journal stemming from the U.S National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, concluded that ”our results support the possibility of adverse effects of fluoride exposures on children’s neurodevelopment”.“In this study we found a significant dose-response relation between fluoride level in serum and children’s IQ…This is the 24th study that has found this association”.One attorney, Paul Beeber, NYSCOF President, weighs in on the research by saying:
“It’s senseless to keep subjecting our children to this ongoing fluoridation experiment to satisfy the political agenda of special-interest groups. Even if fluoridation reduced cavities, is tooth health more important than brain health? It’s time to put politics aside and stop artificial fluoridation everywhere”.
Pesticides are Diminishing Intelligence
One study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that pesticides, which are rampant among the food supply, are creating lasting changes in overall brain structure — changes that have been linked to lower intelligence levels and decreased cognitive function. Specifically, the researchers found that a pesticide known as chlorpyrifos (CPF) has been linked to ”significant abnormalities”. Further, the negative impact was found to occur even at low levels of exposure.Lead researcher Virginia Rauh, a professor at the Mailman School of Public Health, summarized the findings:
“Toxic exposure during this critical period can have far-reaching effects on brain development and behavioral functioning.”
Processed Foods, High Fructose Corn Syrup Making People ‘Stupid’
Following 14,000 children, British researchers uncovered the connection between processed foods and reduced IQ. After recording the children’s’ diets and analyzing questionnaires submitting by the parents, the researchers found that if children were consuming a processed diet at age 3, IQ decline could begin over the next five years. The study found that by age 8, the children had suffered the IQ decline. On the contrary, children who ate a nutrient-rich diet including fruit and vegetables were found to increase their IQ over the 3 year period. The foods considered nutrient-rich by the researchers were most likely conventional fruits and vegetables.Interestingly, one particular ingredient ubiquitous in processed foods and sugary beverages across the globe -high fructose corn syrup – has been tied to reduced IQ. The UCLA researchers coming to these findings found that HFCS may be damaging the brain functions of consumers worldwide, sabotaging learning and memory. Do Gun Control Laws Control
Guns?
The gun control controversy
is only the latest of many issues to be debated almost solely in terms of fixed
preconceptions, with little or no examination of hard facts.
Media discussions of gun
control are dominated by two factors: the National Rifle Association and the
Second Amendment. But the over-riding factual question is whether gun control
laws actually reduce gun crimes in general or murder rates in
particular.
If, as gun control
advocates claim, gun control laws really do control guns and save lives, there
is nothing to prevent repealing the Second Amendment, any more than there was
anything to prevent repealing the Eighteenth Amendment that created
Prohibition.
But, if the hard facts show
that gun control laws do not actually control guns, but instead lead to more
armed robberies and higher murder rates after law-abiding citizens are disarmed,
then gun control laws would be a bad idea, even if there were no Second
Amendment and no National Rifle Association.
The central issue boils
down to the question: What are the facts? Yet there are many zealots who seem
utterly unconcerned about facts or about their own lack of knowledge of
facts.
There are people who have
never fired a shot in their life who do not hesitate to declare how many bullets
should be the limit to put into a firearm's clip or magazine. Some say ten
bullets but New York state's recent gun control law specifies seven.
Virtually all gun control
advocates say that 30 bullets in a magazine is far too many for self-defense or
hunting – even if they have never gone hunting and never had to defend
themselves with a gun. This uninformed and self-righteous dogmatism is what
makes the gun control debate so futile and so polarizing.
Anyone who faces three home
invaders, jeopardizing himself or his family, might find 30 bullets barely
adequate. After all, not every bullet hits, even at close range, and not every
hit incapacitates. You can get killed by a wounded man.
We cannot expect everybody
to know that. But we can expect them to know that they don't know – and to stop
spouting off about life-and-death issues when they don't have the
facts.
The central question as to
whether gun control laws save lives or cost lives has generated many factual
studies over the years. But these studies have been like the proverbial tree
that falls in an empty forest, and has been heard by no one – certainly not by
zealots who have made up their minds and don't want to be confused by the
facts.
Most factual studies show
no reduction in gun crimes, including murder, under gun control laws. A
significant number of studies show higher rates of murder and other gun crimes
under gun control laws.
How can this be? It seems
obvious to some gun control zealots that, if no one had guns, there would be
fewer armed robberies and fewer people shot to death.
But nothing is easier than
to disarm peaceful, law-abiding people. And nothing is harder than to disarm
people who are neither – especially in a country with hundreds of millions of
guns already out there, that are not going to rust away for
centuries.
When it was legal to buy a
shotgun in London in the middle of the 20th century, there were very few armed
robberies there. But, after British gun control zealots managed over the years
to disarm virtually the entire law-abiding population, armed robberies became
literally a hundred times more common. And murder rates rose.
One can cherry-pick the
factual studies, or cite some studies that have subsequently been discredited,
but the great bulk of the studies show that gun control laws do not in fact
control guns. On net balance, they do not save lives but cost lives.
Gun control laws allow some
people to vent their emotions, politicians to grandstand and self-righteous
people to "make a statement" – but all at the cost of other people's
lives.
by Thomas Sowell
These plain life-and-death
realities have been ignored for years by people who go ballistic when they hear
about how many shots were fired by the police in some encounter with a criminal.
As someone who once taught pistol shooting in the Marine Corps, I am not the
least bit surprised by the number of shots fired. I have seen people miss a
stationary target at close range, even in the safety and calm of a pistol
range.
Good for them, smart guys

DNA links early human to present peoples
LEIPZIG, Germany, Jan. 22 (UPI) --
Researchers say ancient DNA suggests humans living 40,000 years in China were likely related to many present-day Asians and American Indians.
Scientists sequencing nuclear and mitochondrial DNA extracted from the leg of an early modern human from Tianyuan Cave near Beijing say the Tianyuan human shared a common origin with the ancestors of many present-day Asians and indigenous American peoples, a release from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, said Tuesday.
Humans with morphology similar to present-day humans appear in the fossil record across Eurasia between 40,000 and 50,000 years ago, but the genetic relationships between these early modern humans and present-day human populations had not yet been established, researchers said.
The genetic profile of the Tianhuan remains reveals this early modern human was related to the ancestors of many present-day Asians and Native Americans but had already diverged genetically from the ancestors of present-day Europeans, they said.
"This individual lived during an important evolutionary transition when early modern humans, who shared certain features with earlier forms such as Neanderthals, were replacing Neanderthals and Denisovans, who later became extinct," researcher Svante Paabo said.
"More analyses of additional early modern humans across Eurasia will further refine our understanding of when and how modern humans spread across Europe and Asia," Paabo said.
