Fake Morgan Silver Dollars
I had posted about how Tungsten is up 70% in the last year and inserted a video showing fake gold and a video with David Morgan of Silver-Investor discussing fake gold and silver. Last week during the interview David Morgan did with me, he talked about fake gold and silver possibly being on the market, besides other information about it. He also said in the interview, if there will be any fake silver coins they will fake the old coins and not new ones. WOW - he got that one exactly right!

Gold has been a given in regards to possibly being fake due to the price of it! It is well worth an organization (ie: Fed, govt) to fake besides the price, they are pretending there is much more gold than there really is.

With silver, the cost of faking it compared to the cost of the metal itself has not made it such a likely candidate as gold is. But times have been changing and in my opinion will be really changing in the not too distant future! In fact this next month - March, there will hopefully be fireworks going off at the Comex. The physical Silver market is tight, all the experts are saying that. So it was simply a matter of time before fake silver began getting on the market.

We did not have to wait too long, Fake Silver is now here!

There is Fake Silver on the market now! The coins are Morgan Silver Dollars dating all the way back to the 1880's and are in pawn shops, besides who knows where else! I would assume it is not just the U.S. that has Fake Silver but also other places in the world too.

A pawn shop in Washington State got a shipment of Morgan Silver Dollars in and felt something was not right about them. They called in a policeman, who could not tell what was wrong with them, until he was told they were fake.

The silver has an iron core and so people WILL be able to tell a Fake Silver coin by using a magnet! If a strong magnet is attracted to the coin it is fake! A real silver coin will not attract a magnet but fake ones will! Also a Fake Silver coin will thud when dropped compared to a high pitched ring of a real one, dropped!

Article:

PORT ANGELES, Wash. - Counterfeit coins by the thousands are turning up in Washington state, and authorities are warning coin collectors to be on the lookout for them.

All or most of the counterfeits appear to be from China.

"Stacks of ingots, bars, all kinds of stuff - they make everything from pennies all the way up to silver dollars," says Port Angeles police officer Duane Benedict. "China is making these things by the thousands."

Several of the fake coins were recently sold to a Port Angeles business, EZ Pawn, for $400. They would have been worth more than $1,500 had they been real, Benedict said.

Officer Benedict got a call from EZ Pawn.

"They brought me in there to look at something they thought was fake. So I was pre-warned. But I picked it up and said, 'What's fake about it?'"

The 20 counterfeit U.S. Morgan silver dollars were supposedly from a century ago. Brian Winters of EZ Pawn has bought coins for years - and even he was fooled.

Unlike most counterfeits, the coins did not all have the same dates. One was a super rare 1893S, worth thousands and thousands.

It was at that time Brian pulled out a loupe and looked at a real coin and a suspect one. He found the "T" and the "I" too thick. All the coins were fake.

The real coin weighed in at 26.7 grams. The fake was two grams lighter.

For those of us without a gram scale - there are other tests for detecting the counterfeit coins.

The real ones have a high-pitched ring when they're dropped. The counterfeits land with a thud.

Also - a strong magnet will detect small amounts of iron in counterfeit U.S. coins. If a supposedly "silver" coin has even a little bit of attraction to the magnet, then it is a fake, Benedict says.

The counterfeits aren't just limited to silver dollars. Other coins - including Indian head pennies - also have turned out to be fakes.

And EZ Pawn says they're continuing to see fake coins brought in by other customers.

And Benedict warns businesses to be suspicious if someone uses only coins to pay for merchandise.

"Use caution if someone brings in a lot of coins to buy something, and look them over carefully," Benedict said.

Personally, I would beware of buying any metals on Ebay or any place I can not touch and feel the metals and completely check them out before purchasing them! Buyer Beware! Take precautions, check out listings on Craigslist in your area. Buy from local people and online metal companies who get their coins directly from the mints and guarantee the Silver content!

EDIT - I just looked on my local Craigslist and I believe there is an ad there for Morgan Silver dollars that are possibly the fake Morgan Silver Dollars. The coins are in plastic holders and they are very shiny! So, people will be selling them on Craigslist too - when looking at any coins in person - Take them OUT of the holders! If the owner does not want them taken out of the holders so you can check them out more thoroughly - then WALK AWAY!

Here is the local listing on craigslist - to me this fits the bill perfectly as being FAKE Morgan Silver Dollars! I am not saying they are fake for sure, as I do not know, but they simply look like they could be.

**UPDATE 2/25/11 - The above link was deleted by seller - but the same ad for the same coins is now here and it reads exactly the same - it is a new ad for the Morgan Silver Dollars**

Edit - I just did a short youtube video about it, for those who would rather hear about it then read about it.

Royal Canadian Mint Now Saying It’s Difficult Securing Silver
With continued reports of booming sales and tightness in the silver market, today King World News interviewed Dave Madge director of sales at the Royal Canadian Mint. When asked if the RCM is having trouble acquiring silver Madge responded, “Demand right now for silver is through the roof and it shows no signs of slowing at this point. Sourcing silver is becoming very difficult. We are competing with a great many players when it comes to purchasing silver and many of these players are bidding the price higher.”

It is only a matter of time

Uncle Sam Wants Your Retirement Money
The Sovereign Society (February 17, 2011)

The guys in Washington are getting desperate.

For years, our government has relied on the major Asian players like China and Japan to finance our debt. I’m sure you’ve heard this story. We bought their stuff, and they bought our Treasuries and other U.S. paper.

This system worked out great for us.

Today, that’s no longer the case. We’re the biggest financial losers on Earth…

Our national debt is a staggering $14 trillion! Worse, foreign investors don’t trust us to pay it down – so they’ve cut off our cash flow.

In short, the government needs Treasury buyers. So the guys in Washington are turning to you… and your cash-rich retirement plan to buy up those unwanted Treasuries.

Another Social Security?
The Department of Labor and U.S. Treasury Department are looking into ways to promote the conversion of retirement plans into an “annuity payment.”

But here’s what you need to know: An “annuity payment” is really government speak for forcing you (think: mandatory Social Security contributions) to buy U.S. Treasuries with your retirement money.

And most likely, the government wants to lock you into those low-yielding 30-year Treasuries that foreign investors no longer want. That way, they can finance a mountain of deficits for decades to come.

Imagine that 100% of your retirement is tied to the dollar, a declining asset and backed by a practically worthless government IOU. It’s the last asset you’d want to own for your retirement.

What’s more, the timing coincides with the beginning of the retirement of the Baby Boomers. Think about it, beginning next year the first wave of the 76 million Baby Boomers will begin turning 65 and there will be a ton of money flowing into treasuries each year for the foreseeable future.

Make no mistake about it, Uncle Sam wants your retirement plan – and there’s really only one thing you can do to protect yourself – get your retirement money offshore while you still can. They are coming for it and you are running out of time.

Uncle Sam Will Tell You When You Can Take Your Own Money
(And they won’t let you take it all at once)

A major step towards the forced purchase of treasuries will come through a fundamental change in the way you take the money out of your retirement plan.

Federal lawmakers want to remove all of the flexible withdrawal options you have. They want to force you to withdraw money in equal payments over your remaining life span, known in the industry as a lifetime annuity.

An annuity is a steady stream of income that will be paid to the retiree over the remainder of his life expectancy. A 67-year-old male would receive his payments over a 15-year period. Contrast this with the rules in place today that give you the ability to withdraw all the funds as a lump sum or as needed after reach age 59 ½. (The current rules require mandatory distributions begin by age 70 ½.)

How Some Frustrated Americans Are Retiring Rich By Sidestepping Wall Street And Uncle Sam

Learn about the little-known investment secret to help you escape high taxes and a weak Dollar in this FREE video.

Watch the Video Now
What is the Ultimate Game Plan?
I will guarantee that the government’s solution for funding an annuity is to have all of your retirement assets purchase treasuries with maturities matched to the payment stream. They have been looking for a way to force your retirement assets into treasuries and this is the first step.

My guess is rather than forcing everyone to buy treasuries today, they’ll force you to do it once you reach retirement age and your lifetime income stream starts. Once retirees become accustomed to the new lifetime income stream, it will be an easier transition for the government to eventually require retirees to invest in treasuries as the only allowable investment for retirement plans.

How to Protect Yourself (While You Still Can)
Option #1: Move Your Funds to a Non-U.S. Bank

You’ll get relief from the clutches of greedy bureaucrats, lawsuit-hungry lawyers and data-mining snoops.

Privately trade stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, precious metals and currencies. Buy into elite mutual funds, managed by analysts who have consistently outperformed their American counterparts.

Option #2: Purchase a Non-U.S. Annuity

Prevent creditors from gaining unwarranted access to your funds. Participate in investments that are normally unavailable to U.S. citizens. Hold your assets in a safe offshore haven without violating IRS regulations.

Note: To buy an offshore annuity, you must work with an adviser who the insurance company approves.

Option #3: Form an International Business Company (IBC) or Foreign Corporation

This adds a significant layer of asset protection and privacy to your business (if established in the right jurisdiction).

You can also use it to open a foreign banking/trading account, purchase an annuity, make foreign investments directly or purchase real estate.

Physical possession of your funds rests with a non-U.S. company that may not recognize judgments awarded by U.S. courts.

Note: Your IRA would be the owner or member of the corporation depending upon the structure and YOU would be the manager with complete control over where the corporation does business. The custodian will, of course, insist on an annual statement of the corporation’s activities and assets it owns.

Option #4: Direct Foreign Investment

In some instances you are able to make a direct foreign investment thereby moving your assets offshore. A good example of this type of investment would be the purchase of real estate in a foreign country.

There are other direct foreign investments available to the holders of retirement plans. These types of options continue to dwindle as our government pressures them to become, in effect, extensions of the IRS.

Defend Yourself Now!
There really is no downside to moving your retirement plan offshore. After all, even offshore you can still invest in everything you own today.

If I’m right and the government does try to keep retirement plans in the U.S. and, as much as possible, invested in U.S. government securities, you would still be better off moving your account offshore.

The logistics involved in trying to force offshore illiquid assets to come back probably won’t justify the expense and time involved. The most likely course of action by the government will be some type of grandfather clause on existing accounts.

Your time is limited. Don’t take any chances – there’s no time like the present to liberate your retirement from the potential clutches of the U.S. government.

Something a little different today, i found this short story while looking for some other stuff, touched my heart.

Kyle

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."
I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.
My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."
He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.
I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.
Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.
Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.
Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak. Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said.
As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years; your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach, but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story."
I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.
He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."
I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize its depth.
Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse.
God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others.

Seattle Restaurant Bans TSA Agents
A restaurant near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington State has refused to serve Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees, posting a prominent sign by the door stating they are not welcome. Is this is a good thing?

The story came from Christopher Elliott and he did not bother to provide the name and address of the restaurant, but that is not important for the matter at hand.

First, the action of the restaurant owner is legal. Discrimination against non-protected classes in the United States does not run afoul of the law. Protected classes include:

•Race
•Color
•Religion
•National origin
•Age (40 and over)
•Sex
•Familial status
•Sexual orientation (in some jurisdictions)
•Gender identity (in some jurisdictions)
•Disability
•Veteran
Notice, the TSA is not included on the list. Refusing to serve TSA employees can be tricky, though. What if a Travel Security Officer (TSO) in uniform who is black enters the restaurant. Will the owner throw him out? What about a TSO in uniform who is obviously older than 40 years of age. Will the owner throw him out? A female TSO out of costume orders her meal. During the service, the waiter notices the officer's badge that clearly identifies the officer as a TSA employee. Will the owner discontinue service? Will the owner admonish the female TSO that next time she won't be served?

I would hope the answer to all those questions would be yes, but if I was running a restaurant I would certainly be uncomfortable turning away a paying customer, especially one who could come back and claim I discriminated on the basis of their age, gender, or race.

Nevertheless, I think the restaurant owner in Seattle is doing the right thing. As long as it made clear that TSOs are refused service because of the organization they represent, I would hope that any lawsuit claiming unlawful discrimination would fail.

Although I do not hold TSA agents in high regard (because they have chosen to aid and abet in eroding civil liberties in the United States), I do not dislike any TSA agents personally. More so than anything, I pity them they must come to work and play a game of charades each day. But I associate the TSA with corruption, incompetence, and un-Americanism. Looking at it through that perspective, I cannot blame the restaurant owner for choosing the course of action he has embarked upon.

As one of his waiters told Chris Elliott:

We even have the police on our side and they have helped us escort TSA agents out of our cafe. Until TSA agents start treating us with the respect and dignity that we deserve, then things will change for them in the private sector.

That's the other problem. The TSA makes matters worse every day when their front-line employees are rude and snippy with passengers. The security theater is bad enough, but when you are insulted before you are strip searched, the animosity compounds.

I hope to report back in a few months that a grass roots movement banning service to TSA employees has sprung up around the country. Maybe then the politicians will start listening to the traveling public.

Warning to Washington: Follow the Constitution
Big power grabs by federal government get widespread opposition from states

It's not just Montana anymore.

And folks at the Tenth Amendment Center, who monitor states' declarations of independence from the federal government's rules and regulations, suggest perhaps Washington should be paying attention.

Montana has earned fame for its legislative independence in recent years, authoring the original Firearms Freedom Act that now is law in 8 states and being considered in another 8. It also was among the first states to introduce legislation cancelling Obamacare's effects inside its borders. It even considered a plan, tabled for now, that would require federal agents to check in with the local sheriff before attempting to enforce federal laws inside his jurisdiction.

Such ideas have been ridiculed by those in government power, as well as the old established media.

"Reaching into the dusty annals of American history" is how Associated Press described nullification, the idea that at least is suggested in the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which says, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

Just exactly what are those powers given to the federal government? Mostly listed in Article 1, Section 8, they include the power to tax and pay debts, provide for the common defense and general welfare of the U.S., borrow money, regulate commerce with foreign nations and "among the several states," establish a "rule of naturalization," coin money, punish counterfeiters, establish post offices and courts, declare war, raise and support armies and a navy and others.

But over the years the federal government has mandated education procedures, even though education isn't listed in the Constitution. It has established the Energy Department, even though that is not in the Constitution. There's the EPA, even though that is not in the Constitution. And many others.

And now it has decided, under the federal Obamacare health care takeover, that not purchasing health insurance is an action that can be regulated by the federal government.

The result, explains Michael Boldin, chief of the Tenth Amendment Center, is that there are so many efforts to deny Washington the authority it claims, or refuse it the compliance it expects, that his volunteer staff of several dozen workers cannot even keep up with the issues.

He also explained that John Adams probably would consider it a revolution, since Adams one wrote the original was not about the war, but about the change years earlier in how people look at government.

The AP said such state efforts to "nullify" Washington's actions are "completely unconstitutional in the eyes of most legal scholars because the U.S. Constitution deems federal laws 'the supreme law of the land.'"

And those at the Tenth Amendment Center agree – as long as the federal laws are within the Constitution's enumerated powers given to the federal government. But they cite the Tenth Amendment that other powers belong to the states and people, and just exactly what fits into which category is the crux of many of the current arguments.

Nullification itself goes far back into U.S. history, with references in the Kentucky Resolutions to that very term.

Jefferson once opined, "When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated."

And Connecticut Gov. Jonathan Trumbull once said, "Whenever our national legislature is led to overleap the prescribed bounds of their constitutional powers, on the State Legislatures, in great emergencies, devolves the arduous task – it is their right – it becomes their duty, to interpose their protecting shield between the right and liberty of the people, and the assumed power of the General Government."

Among the issues, according to Boldin, that have come to the forefront for literally dozens of states:

10th Amendment Resolutions, which are intended to be statements of the legislature of the state to exercise those rights not given to the federal government.

The Firearms Freedom Acts, which are law in eight states and being considered in another eight. Started in Montana, they declare any firearms made and retained in-state are beyond the authority of Congress under its constitutional power to regulate commerce among the states.

State marijuana laws, which explain that the federal government has no constitutional authority to override state laws on marijuana, even though all three branches of the federal government have stated they do have that authority.

Health Care Nullification Acts, which state in some dozen plans already that "the federal law known as the 'Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,' signed by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010, is not authorized by the Constitution of the United States and violates its true meaning and intent as given by the Founders and Ratifiers, and is hereby declared to be invalid, shall not be recognized, is specifically rejected, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect." Twenty-seven states also have gone to court to overturn Obamacare.

REAL ID Act, which started in Maine and has been joined by more than two dozen states, denouncing and refusing the implement the Bush-era law which many expressed concerned about privacy, funding and more.

Defend the Guard, which reasserts governors' authority over the National Guard units from their state. The Constitution allows the guard to be called into duty by the federal government to execute the laws of the union and suppress insurrection and repel invasions. Deployments outside the country do not appear to be considered.

Constitutional Tender, which advocates for the Constitution's requirement that "No State shall … make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts."

Cap and Trade/EPA, which challenge the authority of the federal agencies to regulate agriculture, manufacturing, mining and land use.

The Sheriffs First Legislation, which would make it a state crime for any federal agent to make an arrest, search, or seizure within the state without first getting the advanced, written permission of the elected county sheriff of the county in which the event is to take place.
Boldin said it's essential for citizens to know what to do when the federal government takes authority that it does not have under the Constitution.

"The standard viewpoint that we the people take in response to federal usurpation of our rights is, 'Let's vote some bums out and hope the new bums don't do it again,'" he said.

But, "going to the federal government to fix problems created by the federal government doesn't work," he said.

"Nullification is a way to bypass the federal government and have our states do what they're supposed to do."

He cited some of the old traditional media reports on the dispute as proof that headway is being made.

"First, they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they attack you," he said, pointing to AP's characterization of the movement as of "dubious constitutional nature."

He even explained that resorting to court action and other challenges is not always the best course of action. Instead, he said people should tell Washington:

"You don't matter any more. We the people are going to exercise our rights no matter what you say. Get on board if you want to keep the power in the Constitution."

NY prosecutor charges 9 in assault weapons case
MINEOLA, N.Y. — Authorities on Long Island have charged four gun shop owners and five employees with illegally selling assault weapons.

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice says a 10-month investigation found the gun dealers modified assault rifles to bring them in compliance with state law. The dealers then would instruct the undercover officers posing as customers how to change them back into full-fledged assault weapons.

She said authorities seized a total of 78 weapons as part of the sting. All the defendants have pleaded not guilty and were released without bail.

If convicted, each of those arrested faces up to seven years in prison. Each business faces up to a $10,000 fine per felony or double the company's gain from the criminal conduct.

Huge solar flare jams radio, satellite signals: NASA

A powerful solar eruption that triggered a huge geomagnetic storm has disturbed radio communications and could disrupt electrical power grids, radio and satellite communication in the next days, NASA said.
A strong wave of charged plasma particles emanating from the Jupiter-sized sun spot, the most powerful seen in four years, has already disrupted radio communication in southern China.

The Class X flash -- the largest such category -- erupted at 0156 GMT Tuesday, according to the US space agency.

"X-class flares are the most powerful of all solar events that can trigger radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms," disturbing telecommunications and electric grids, NASA said Wednesday.

Geomagnetic storms usually last 24 to 48 hours -- but some could last for many days, read a statement from the US National Weather Service.

"Ground to air, ship to shore, short-wave broadcast and amateur radio are vulnerable to disruption during geomagnetic storms. Navigation systems like GPS can also be adversely affected."

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory said it saw a large coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with the flash blasting toward Earth at about 560 miles per second (900 kilometers per second).

The flare spread from Active Region 1158 in the sun's southern hemisphere, which had so far lagged behind the northern hemisphere in flash activity. It followed several smaller flares in recent days.

"The calm before the storm," read a statement on the US National Weather Service Space Weather Prediction Service.

"Three CMEs are enroute, all a part of the Radio Blackout events on February 13, 14, and 15 (UTC). The last of the three seems to be the fastest and may catch both of the forerunners about mid to late ... February 17."

The China Meteorological Administration reported that the solar flare caused "sudden ionospheric disturbances" in the atmosphere above China and jammed short-wave radio communications in the southern part of the country.

The CMA warned there was a high probability that large solar flares would appear over the next three days, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The British Geological Survey (BGS) said meanwhile that the solar storm would result in spectacular Northern Lights displays starting Thursday.

One coronal mass ejection reached Earth on February 14, "sparking Valentine's Day displays of the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) further south than usual."

"Two CMEs are expected to arrive in the next 24-48 hours and further... displays are possible some time over the next two nights if skies are clear," it said.

The office published geomagnetic records dating back to the Victorian era which it hopes will help in planning for future storms.

"Life increasingly depends on technologies that didn't exist when the magnetic recordings began," said Alan Thomson, BGS head of geomagnetism.

"Studying the records will tell us what we have to plan and prepare for to make sure systems can resist solar storms," he said.

A 2009 report by a panel of scientists assembled by NASA said that a sustained and powerful solar flare outbreak could overwhelm high-voltage transformers with electrical currents and short-circuit energy grids.

The report, titled "Severe Space Weather Events -- Understanding Societal and Economic Impacts" warned that such a catastrophic event could cost the United States alone up to two trillion dollars in repairs in the first year -- and it could take up to 10 years to fully recover.

First the Chinese are making fake gold and silver and now the governments to start documenting the small sales. Cash for gold buyers regulated under proposed WA bill Gold buyers in Washington state may have to document who is selling the gold, and even fingerprint them, under a proposed bill. The bill to regulate those who buys gold, typically at local hotels on weekends, is sponsored by Rep. Katrina Asay, R-Federal Way. Asay says police requested the regulations. "They've had a rash of home burglaries where all that's taken is jewelry," Asay said. Individual buyers are currently not required to document who is selling them jewelry. Under Asay's bill, for all purchases over $100, a buyer would need to photocopy the seller's identification and take their fingerprints. The buyer would also have to hold onto the merchandise for 45 days. Typically, gold is immediately melted down, making it untraceable and unrecoverable by police, said Asay. "Hopefully, it will curtail those who aren't so legitimate," she said. The bill would hold gold buyers to the same restrictions pawnbrokers must currently follow. http://www.king5.com/news/local/Bill-would-regulate-Cash-for-gold-buyers-115606824.html Cool Tool

Residents in Surrey and Kent villages have been ordered by police to remove wire mesh from their windows as burglars could be injured.
Home owners in the villages of Tandridge and Tatsfield in Surrey and in Westerham, Brasted and Sundridge in Kent have said they are furious that they are being branded 'criminals' for protecting their property.
Locals had reinforced their windows with wire mesh after a series of shed thefts but were told by community police officers that the wire was 'dangerous' and could lead to criminals claiming compensation if they 'hurt themselves'.

'Dangerous': Police have told villagers that wire mesh protecting their windows could hurt burglars and lead to lawsuits
Surrey Police have defended the move but outraged residents have attacked the force for seemingly trying to protect criminals.
Thomas Cooper, of Tatsfield, Surrey, said he put the mesh around three of his garden sheds after two break-ins over the past four years.

He said he decided to take action after reports of a rise in shed burglaries in the area near the Kent and Surrey border.

'I have three sheds and had two break-ins in the past four years,' Mr Cooper explained.

'I reinforced my shed windows with wire mesh, but was told by the police I had to be very careful because thieves can actually sue you if they get hurt.

'"I mean, what are you meant to do? Let them take your stuff? It is ridiculous that the law protects them even though they are breaking it.'

Last month mother-of-three Samantha Cullum had her entire shed pinched in the village of Brasted, near Sevenoaks in Kent, when thieves simply lifted it onto a truck in the dead of night.

'We had some tools stolen every now and again, but this time they took the entire shed - I couldn't believe it.'
Tatsfield homeowner Dave Bishop labelled the police advice 'unbelievable' and said people should be allowed to protect their property.

Crime reduction officer for Tandridge PC John Lee commented: 'We are constantly advising homeowners to protect their property and the contents of their shed or garage, however, a commonsense approach needs to be taken.

'To properly secure your sheds, Surrey Police strongly advises people to invest in items such as good-quality locks and bolts, and not to resort to homemade devices, as this could cause injury.'

A police source added: 'Homemade devices can cause injury and there have been cases where criminals have sued for injuries they have suffered while committing a criminal act.

'We are advising people to do whatever they can to protect their property, but wire mesh is not one of the suggestions we would make.'

FBI Agent Turned ACLU Counsel: Feds Spy On Citizens Based on Religion, Politics

Feds have little respect for your privacy, Constitution

The police are watching you. If you're the wrong religion, they'll spy on your every move. If you voice the wrong political opinions they'll be watching you. According to Mike German, a 16-year veteran with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations, this is happening right in the U.S.

Mr. German has become the FBI's worst nightmare. Fed up with the abuses of privacy he was seeing, he complain to higher authorities and was promptly fired by the FBI. Recently he became the ACLU's Policy Counsel on National Security, Immigration and Privacy [press release]. And he's speaking up about what he witnessed.

States Mr. German in a recent interview with Network World:

The most disturbing thing we've uncovered is the scope of domestic intelligence activities taking place today. Domestic spying is now being done by a host of federal agencies (FBI, DOD, DHS, DNI) as well as state and local law enforcement and even private companies. Too often this spying targets political activity and religious practices. We've documented intelligence activities targeting or obstructing First Amendment-protected activity in 33 states and DC.
He says that this Orwellian atmosphere could leave the U.S. a far different beast than the proud beacon of freedom it once was. He states, "The biggest threat is that the increase surveillance of political activity will create a chilling effect that will dissuade people from exercising their rights, which will cause significant harm to participatory democracy."

He states that the "War on Terror" will continue to serve as an excuse for federal agencies to trample civil liberties. He says that there are no clear-cut guidelines as to when you get put on a "watchlist" and are spied on by federal agents. It's impossible to find out if your on a list and equally impossible to dispute or ask to be removed from a list.

He also blasts TSA "enhanced pat-down" procedures and body scanners, calling them "unreasonable invasions of privacy that do not enhance security."

Given the Supreme Courts interpretation that privacy is a fundamental human right and thus Constitutionally protected by the Ninth Amendment, and given the First Amendments protections concerning freedom of speech and religion, Mr. German's claims are alarming. Are U.S. federal employees deliberately spying on citizens and violating their rights, without the slightest legal accusation?

It'd be easy to dismiss Mr. German's claims as the words of a disgruntled employee. But consider Mr. German's story of his departure from the agency:

I left the FBI when the DOJ Inspector General failed to investigate an FBI cover-up of a failed FBI counterterrorism investigation I reported, or protect me from official retaliation that resulted. I reported the information to Sen. Grassley and resigned. Grassley put pressure on the IG, so almost two years later the IG issued a report that showed the FBI falsified and backdated records about the case and retaliated against me for reporting it. I joined the ACLU two years later because I knew from my counterterrorism work that protecting civil liberties and keeping law enforcement accountable is what keeps America safe from terrorism and other crime.

Mr. German was clearly vindicated in the case that led to his dismissal. The fact that the FBI tried to cover up its own wrongdoing and then punished Mr. German certainly damages its credibility and offers support for Mr. German's claims.

Busy day for me,

Counterfeit coins from China turning up in Wash. state
PORT ANGELES, Wash.

Wheat Surges to Highest Since 2008 on China Drought, Middle Eastern Buying
Wheat has surged 82 percent in the past year as drought in Russia, floods in
Canada and parched fields across Europe hurt crops. Countries in the Middle
East and North Africa are accelerating grain purchases as rising food prices
contributed to riots and protests. China, the largest wheat producer, is

Expect higher food prices as corn reserves lowest in 15 years

ST. LOUIS (AP) — U.S. reserves of corn have hit their lowest level in more than 15 years, reflecting tighter supplies that will lead to higher food prices in 2011. Increasing demand for corn from the ethanol industry is a major reason for the decline.

In this Sept. 11, 2010 file photo, central Illinois farmers harvest their corn crops near Monticello, Ill. U.S. reserves of corn have hit their lowest level in more than 15 years,
The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Wednesday that the ethanol industry's projected orders this year rose 8.4%, to 13.01 billion bushels, after record-high production in December and January.

That means the United States will have about 675 million bushels of corn left over at the end of year. That's roughly 5% of all corn that will be consumed, the lowest surplus level since 1996.

One bushel of corn equals 25 kilograms, or 55 pounds.

The USDA report, which measures global supply and demand for grains, oilseeds and other crops, said its projections for wheat and soybean stocks remained unchanged at historical low levels for reserves.

Corn prices have already doubled in the last six months, rising from $3.50 a bushel to more than $7 a bushel.

Consumers won't see the broader impact right away. It takes months for higher grain costs to work their way through the food system and show up at the grocery store. The cost of corn and soybeans represents just 10% of the total cost of food, and big processors such as General Mills are hesitant to pass along those costs quickly to consumers.

Still, companies such as Hormel Foods. have already announced price hikes for 2011 to cover the increases. Hormel said prices will rise by about 3% on a variety of products, from Spam to canned soups.

Rising grain costs hit meat producers first. Tyson Foods, the biggest U.S. meat company, says it is aiming to cut $200 million in operational costs to offset higher corn and soybean costs. CEO Donnie Smith calls that the "new normal" price range. Tyson said chicken, beef and pork prices are expect to rise, if only slightly, this year as producers seek to cover costs.

Shares of meat producers like Tyson, Smithfield Foods and Pilgrim's Pride opened lower Wednesday, falling less than 1% in early trading.

GOD vs SCIENCE

“Let me explain the problem science has with religion.” The atheist professor
of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to
stand. “You’re a Christian, aren’t you, son?”

“Yes, sir,” the student says.

“So you believe in God?”

“Absolutely. “

“Is God good?”

“Sure! God’s good.”

“Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?”

“Yes.”

“Are you good or evil?”

“The Bible says I’m evil.”

The professor grins knowingly. “Aha! The Bible! He considers for a moment.
“Here’s one for you. Let’s say there’s a sick person over here and you can
cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?”

“Yes, sir, I would.”

“So you’re good...!”

“I wouldn’t say that.”

“But why not say that? You’d help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of
us would if we could. But God doesn’t.”

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. “He doesn’t, does he?
My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to
heal him. How is this Jesus good? Can you answer that one?”

The student remains silent. “No, you can’t, can you?” the professor says. He
takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax
“Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?”

“Er..yes,” the student says.

“Is Satan good?”

The student doesn’t hesitate on this one. “No.”

“Then where does Satan come from?”

The student falters. “From God.”

“That’s right. God made Satan, didn’t he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this
world?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Evil’s everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything, correct?”

“Yes.”

“So who created evil?” The professor continued, “If God created everything,
then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our
works define who we are, then God is evil.”

Again, the student has no answer. “Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred?
Ugliness? All these terrible things...do they exist in this world?”

The student squirms on his feet. “Yes.”

“So who created them?”

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. “Who
created them?” There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace
in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized. “Tell me,” he continues onto
another student. “Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?”

The student’s voice betrays him and cracks. “Yes, professor, I do.”

The old man stops pacing. “Science says you have five senses you use to identify
and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?”

“No, sir. I’ve never seen Him.”

“Then tell us if you’ve ever heard your Jesus?”

“No, sir, I have not.”

“Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelled your Jesus? Have you
ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?”

“No, sir, I’m afraid I haven’t.”

“Yet you still believe in him?”

“Yes.”

“According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science
says your God doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?”

“Nothing,” the student replies. “I only have my faith.”

“Yes, faith,” the professor repeats. “And that is the problem science has with
God. There is no evidence, only faith.”

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of his own.

“Professor, is there such thing as heat?”

“Yes.”

“And is there such a thing as cold?”

“Yes, son, there’s cold, too.”

“No, sir, there isn’t.”

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly
becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. “You can have lots of heat,
even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or
no heat, but we don’t have anything called “cold”. We can hit down to 458
degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that.
There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or
transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy.
Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a
word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can
measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat,
sir, just the absence of it.”

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a
hammer.

“What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?”

“Yes,” the professor replies without hesitation. “What is night if it isn’t
darkness?”

“You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of
something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but
if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it’s called darkness, isn’t
it? That’s the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn’t. If
it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?”

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good
semester. “So what point are you making, young man?”

“Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with,
and so your conclusion must also be flawed.”

The professor’s face cannot hide his surprise this time. “Flawed? Can you
explain how?”

“You are working on the premise of duality,” the student explains. “You argue
that there is life and then there’s death; a good God and a bad God. You are
viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir,
science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has
never seen, much less fully understood, either one. To view death as the opposite of
life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.
Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it. Now tell me, professor,
do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?”

“If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of
course I do.”

“Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?”

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the
argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

“Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even
prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion,
sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?”

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.
“To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give
you an example of what I mean.” The student looks around the room. “Is there
anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor’s brain?” The class breaks
out into laughter. “Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor’s
brain, felt the professor’s brain, touched or smelled the professor’s brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical,
stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due
respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures,
sir?”

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face
unreadable. Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. “I guess
you’ll have to take them on faith.”

“Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,” the
student continues. “Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?” Now uncertain, the
professor responds, “Of course, there is. We see it every day. It is in the daily
example of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence
everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.”

To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not
exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and
cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create
evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present
in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness
that comes when there is no light.”

The professor sat down.

Finally, A Sensible Gun Registration Plan
Vermont State Rep. Fred Maslack has read the Second Amendment to the
U.S.Constitution as well as Vermont 's own Constitution very carefully,
and his strict interpretation of these documents is popping some
eyeballs in New England and elsewhere.

Maslack recently proposed a bill to register non-gun-owners and require
them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first
state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and
assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun.

Maslack read the "militia" phrase of the Second Amendment as not only
affirming the right of the individual citizen to bear arms, but as a
clear mandate to do so. He believes that universal gun ownership was
advocated by the Framers of the Constitution as an antidote to a
"monopoly of force" by the government as well as criminals.

Vermont 's constitution states explicitly that "the people have a right
to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the State" and those
persons who "conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms" shall be
required to "pay such equivalent." Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters
have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves so that they are
capable of responding to "any situation that may arise".

Under the bill, adults who choose not to own a firearm would be required
to register their name, address, Social Security Number, and driver's
license number with the state. "There is a legitimate government
interest in knowing who is prepared to defend the state should they be
asked to do so," Maslack says.

Vermont already boasts a high rate of gun ownership along with the least
restrictive laws of any state - it's currently the only state that
allows a citizen to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. This
combination of plenty of guns and few laws regulating them has resulted
in a crime rate that is the third lowest in the nation.

There is a lesson here!

COMPROMISE IS A DIRTY WORD

*THE CONTINUING POLITICAL CIRCUS*

This past week we were once again treated to a now sorry annual
spectacle known as the state of the union address. It was, as it most
always is, a pontifical exercise of blame, brag, bluster, and bombast.
This year, however, a new wrinkle was added to the circus. The liberal
politicians and the American media, which functions as a propaganda
ministry, seized upon the opportunity to divert the responsibility for
the mass shootings in Tucson, Arizona from the communist left where it
properly belongs to a suppositional incivility of the political foes of
the social aberrations that these political and media miscreants hold dear.

The propagandistic mania that was promoted by the Obama owned media
induced a deluded public, as these agitators knew it would, to mount a
demand for a new and cuddlesome politicization that would serve to
obfuscate and disguise the damage that has been inflicted upon society
by the mentally disordered offspring of the occultist new left, of which
the Tucson shooter was a certifiable member.

All of the media hype and fabrication helped to birth a new patty-cake
mentality that was infused into the confabulation that was presented as
a state of the union address. The media theme was that conservative
politicos should evidence a new teddybear like civility by checking
their ethics and principles at the door and then sit cheek by jowl with
political opponents of ideological beliefs that they believe in their
heart to be socially destructive and morally depraved.

One can only marvel at the complete misapprehension that prompted those
who acceded to this farcical arrangement to the point that they
abandoned their supposed sincerely held values to participate in such a
silly and juvenile exercise. But, there they sat like birds on a rail
holding hands and being confronted by charlatanism at its best and
political deportment at its worst, all in the name of civility.

The sole exhibition of wisdom and dignity of the day was that which was
evidenced by the three Supreme Court justices who refused to esteem or
respect the proceedings by lending their presence to such a comedic
blowout.

*A FAKE PRESIDENT PRESIDES*

It can be rationally argued that Obama actually profaned what used to be
a respected American political tradition by his very presence.

Here is a man that everyone knows in their innermost being to be a
socialist interloper of Kenyon birth and of a faked U.S. residency. The
nullity of his legal status as president mocks the constitutional
foundations of the nation. His oral communication consisted of a long
and wearisome string of utterances of little substance and even less in
the way of political acuity. The man is clueless and totally deficient
in regard to wisdom, discernment, and a cognizant a grasp of world
events and the culture and political disposition of foreign nations. In
short he is as a boy in a man?s job.

The juvenile like textual context of his so-called speech was a
compilation of the borrowed themes of past presidents, worn out and used
up campaign rhetoric, and an ill disguised advocacy of the ideological
doctrines of Marx and Engels that he fanatically pursues. The truly
despicable aspect of his performance was the utilization of the tragic
consequences of the Tucson shootings to further his political goals,
that he would divert the compassion for the victims of that loathsome
act to a political purpose spotlights the shallowness of his soul. In
this regard he simply embraces the seemingly most important doctrine of
the socialist left to never allow a crisis to go to waste even if it
might be morally wrong to use the occurrences thereof to advance a cause.

The determinate thought at the conclusion of the mirthful silliness of
this event was the demoralizing understanding of the collective
dim-witted depths to which this society has descended, and the bleak
awareness of the shudderingly incompetent witlessness of those who have
ascended to ruling positions of leadership in this nation.

Sadly there seems to be no end to the cognitive deficiency that is
abroad in this country in these perilous times.

*COMPROMISE ? A DIRTY WORD*

Compromise ? is defined as: ?A middle way between two extremes?

If this is a literally correct definition, and I believe that it is,
what then are we to do when the two extremes at the opposite ends of the
plane are that which is moral and that which is immoral? Is it possible
that a righteous compromise can be accomplished when such a compromise,
by the very definition of the word, must contain the elements of an
extreme that is in and of itself evil or wicked?

Compromise is as old as humanity; compromise began as a human endeavor
to attempt to escape the penalty for the transgression of God?s laws and
to mitigate or contravene the absoluteness of God?s word. Compromise is
man?s way to lessen the seriousness of disobedience to immutable laws
and dictums, or to excuse or condone such disobedience altogether. No
good thing comes from compromise. Man?s accommodation of transgressions
by compromise is not a defense for iniquitous acts in the eyes of God.
Compromise is the devil?s invention; God who is perfect in every way
will not be conciliated by the conditions of a compromise.

Compromise was introduced into the lives of men in the Garden of Eden by
that serpent of old, Satan, and will remain with men until the Lord
Jesus Christ brings this world to an end - which He will inevitable do
- and establishes His Kingdom.

*THE FRUITS OF COMPROMISE*

Most people have come to believe that compromise is a useful tool and
that the negotiations thereof have brought about good things and useful
policies. If one examines that belief closely it soon becomes apparent
that there are no useful results that accrue to negotiated compromise on
any level. In fact most often compromise actually breeds dissention and
strife, which in turn leads to more compromise. In short compromise
feeds upon itself and eats up that which is just and right in the
process...

To live in a world of compromise is to live in a world without
absolutes, and yet we know that the entire universe as well as the lives
of men are managed, controlled, and kept within irrevocable bounds by
the absolutes established by Almighty God. We violate those bounds, via
compromise of any kind, at our peril.

Political negotiations (compromise) in regard to the step down from the
safeguarding of the sanctity of life and from the immutable right
granted by God to be defended against being murdered - as set forth in
the sixth commandment - has enabled an American medical assassination
machine that has claimed nearly double the number of lives of the
combined number of military and civilian deaths attributable to World
War II.

The killing of innocent babies has reached record heights. The lives of
twenty-four percent of all unborn babies are delivered into the hands of
the serial killers of the medical community. A baby is murdered every
twelve seconds, and it is estimated that in this country alone there
have been ninety-two million living beating hearts stilled by the bloody
hands of the legal abortionists. This conspiracy to commit murder, this
aiding and abetting of murder, this disconnect between the forbidden
pre-meditated murder of living adults and the sanctioned pre-meditated
murder of living babies has been wrought by a politically mediated
compromise between those who claim the right to murder babies and those
who know God?s absolute prohibition of murder. And there is more.

Now continuing?compromise on morality resulted in the condoning of, and
an exponential increase in, the filthy - God condemned - practice of
sodomy and promiscuous sex. For every compromise of God?s word a penalty
is exacted. Aids rapidly achieved endemic proportions, first in the
United States and then in the rest world. We were told that Aids was a
disease of monkeys that had migrated to men. The inventiveness of the
scientific community and the political apologizers who defend such
appalling and execrable behavior often find fertile ground in the
credulous minds of a spiritually deprived people. I?m not done.

*POLITICAL COMPROMISE CONTINUES TO DESTROY THE REPUBLIC *

Today as never before in our history the dishonorable who control our
social destiny via their political intrigues subject the nation to a
slow death by way of political compromise.

Compromise through ill-conceived trade agreements has destroyed domestic
industry and extinguished millions of jobs. Compromise on sound
financial practices has destroyed the housing market, seriously damaged
the economy and crippled small businesses, compromise on immigration has
demolished the social structure, bankrupted state and local governments,
critically imperiled national security and jeopardized the safety and
well-being of the people, and compromise on moral integrity has
corrupted the youth, encouraged extreme vice and given license to social
prurience.

*THE BEGINNING OF THE END *

In a recent article I wrote that from this time forward the people of
this nation will not know a day of peace, there will be no good news,
each bad day will fade into another equally bad day, and the black and
ghostly apparitions of the former will blend with the grim and ghastly
tidings of the new. The Lord has departed from a people that have
departed from Him and prostituted themselves before heathen gods, a
people who will in the coming days loathe themselves for the evils that
they have committed in all of their abominations. They will surely know
that He is the Sovereign God who will carry out His word to do evil unto
them that defy His word and deny His Lordship over all of creation.

As I write this piece the nation is seized by a 2,000 mile long arctic
blast of an unprecedented magnitude; each season delivers devastation of
Biblical proportions. Tornadoes ravage, floods inundate, conflagrations
gobble up thousands of acres of trees and foliage and lumbering
mudslides follow in the wake of these, hurricanes terrify the coasts,
and hail, ice, and snow bring cities and towns to a standstill. Truly
the day of the Lord is at hand.

One who reads these words and does not understand or relate to that
which has been written can be thought to possess one or more of the
following character deficiencies: deep perversion, callous
indifference, abysmal illiteracy, or appalling ignorance.

Believers in God?s word know that ignorance of a secular kind is
directly attributable to a lack of spiritual discernment.

Solomon gives a litany of dangers that await the man who lacks Spiritual
discernment:

?To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that
speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in
the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the
frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in
their paths: To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the
stranger which flattereth with her words; Which forsaketh the guide of
her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. For her house
inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. None that go unto her
return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. That thou
mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the
righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect
shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and
the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.? [Proverbs 2:12-22]
